Nashville Hot Chicken is a regional specialty that consists of fried chicken that has been basted with a spicy sauce made from cayenne pepper mixed with the grease from the fryer. Salty, spicy, and greasy, it’s the ultimate southern comfort food.
While I chose to get my hot chicken from Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack on the northern end of Nashville, where it was supposedly invented, fans of the spicy chicken also give rave review to Hattie B’s, which has two locations in Nashville.
