The Birthplace of Boston Cream Pie

According to history, the Boston Cream Pie was invented in 1856 by Armenian-French chef M. Sanzian at the Parker House Hotel (now Omni Parker House) in Boston, Massachusetts.

I visited the Omni Parker to try out a mini-sized Boston Cream Pie.

Unlike versions found in bakeries and stores everywhere, the original version was lighter, less sweet, and covered on the sides with toasted almonds.
